If Ray were a character in the Book of Job, he’d be described as an elder at the gate. After 35 years in public service as an Air Force officer and Senior Executive, he has taught either leadership, theology, or worldview to the next generation of leaders whether they were in the government, the Air Force, or were doctoral students at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. His latest calling is hanging out with high school students at Ad Fontes Academy where he teaches worldview and apologetics. He is the author of “Leaders Growing Leaders,” recently included in The Jossey-Bass Reader on Non-Profit and Public Leadership (2010) as well as numerous articles on leadership, character, and a changing culture. If he has his choice, he will be found in a kayak, backpacking, reading a book, hanging out with his family, or enjoying a walk with BJ his wife of 48 years.
